This bright and airy Tudor Style home is in Long Island. It was more of a decluttering and downsizing project than any structural or redesigning endeavor. The first thing that made a big change is the creamy-white wall finish throughout, and the refinished hardwood floors, especially up the stairs, which had been covered with a patterned old carpet. As the owner was downsizing to a smaller place, it was practical to help her thoroughly reorganize her furniture, kitchen and closets. So not only would it be easier to show the place at it’s best, it would also help the home owner with the sometimes overwhelming task of packing only those things she’d need in the new place.
